Italy has seen a slight upswing in 24 hours, with 43 deaths and 329 coronavirus infections

Italy saw a slight increase in deaths on Wednesday, with another 43 deaths in the past 24 hours, with another 329 COVID-19 infections registered. The data contrast with the 34 deaths and 210 new cases on Tuesday.

Although no new infections were found in five regions on the last day, Lombardy, the region most affected, added another 242 cases, representing 73.5 percent of the total in the country. Italy now has a total of 237,828 infections and 34,448 deaths.

On the other hand, the number of patients in the intensive care unit continues to decrease, and now there are 163, another fourteen fewer, while the number of hospital patients also drops to 3,118, another 188 fewer than the previous day. In patients who passed COVID-19, the number increased to 178,455, and 929 more were discharged after the other day.
