Italy has added 87 more deaths and 516 more infections in the last 24 hours, as earlier days indicate, while the head of the Higher Institute of Health (ISS), Silvio Brusaferro, has warned that this is very likely to be a “second wave” of falls in the fall.
According to civil protection, 232,248 cases have been registered across Italy so far, even though there were six regions on the last day in which no new infections were added. With regard to the deceased, there have been 33,229 deceased in the last deaths.
A large proportion of these new infections and deaths have occurred in Lombardy, the region most affected by the pandemic. In the northern region in particular, 38 deaths and 354 infections were recorded, which corresponds to a balance of 16,012 deaths and 88,537 infected people.
On the other hand, active cases continue to decrease and are currently at 46,175. Among them, 475 are in intensive care, twelve fewer than on Thursday and another 7,094 in hospital, 292 fewer than the day before. The remaining 84 percent are isolated at home.
