Italy falls to infection after three days with 188 new cases and seven deaths

The Italian government confirmed 188 new coronavirus infections and seven deaths in the last 24 hours this Saturday, according to the results released by Civil Protection.

After three days of increase, the epidemic curve in Italy narrowed this Saturday compared to the 276 infections registered on Friday, the 214 on Thursday and 193 on Wednesday.

The total number of Italians affected by COVID-19 increases to 242,827 and the deaths to 34,495. The number of active cases, excluding deaths and layoffs, is 13,303 (125 fewer than on Friday), of which 67 are in intensive care, two more than on Friday.

The number of daily registrations has increased to 306 (yesterday 295), which corresponds to a total of 194,579.
