Italy has surpassed the 31,000 deaths of COVID-19 this Wednesday after adding another 195 deaths on the last day, while the number of patients has continued to decrease after the discharge of another 3,500, according to the latest civil protection data.
A total of 222,104 infections have been registered since the pandemic began, another 888 since yesterday, while the rest of the deceased are 31,106 since the last deaths.
Active cases continue to decline, 2,809 fewer than on Tuesday, so 78,457 people are currently suffering from COVID-19. Those admitted to the hospital with symptoms are 12,172,693 fewer, while those admitted to the intensive care unit also fall to 893 with 59 fewer. Another 65,392 people are isolated in their homes.
Regarding the number of patients who managed to overcome the disease, another 3,502 people joined on the last day, bringing the total to 112,541.
