Italy has crossed 215,000 infections from the new coronavirus from the Chinese city of Wuhan this Thursday, while the 274 deaths registered in the last 24 hours have left the country on the verge of 30,000 pandemic deaths.
According to data released by Civil Protection, there are already 215,858 infections, after adding 1,401 on the last day, although the number of active cases has dropped below 90,000. This corresponds to 89,624, 1,904 fewer people than the day before. In relation to the total number of deceased, it remains at 29,958.
On the other hand, the number of people healed is still higher than the number of sick. A total of 96,276 Covid-19 patients were cured on the last day, 3,031 more.
Another day the number of hospital admissions drops with 595 fewer patients for a total of 15,174 patients, such as those in the intensive care unit, 22 fewer than on Wednesday and 1,311 people are already falling. Another 73,139 people are isolated in their homes asymptomatic or with mild symptoms.
