The Italian Ministry of Health reported the deaths of 201 people due to the coronavirus and a further 4,452 positives this Tuesday, so that 4,167,025 people have already contracted the disease and 124,497 have died from it since the pandemic broke out just over a year ago.
The situation in Italian hospitals continues to improve: 11,539 patients were admitted, almost 500 fewer than the previous day, and a further 1,689 in intensive care units. A total of 3,727,220 people have overcome the disease while the number of active cases has dropped to 315,308.
On the other hand, the number of people immunized with at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine is 27.9 million, of whom 8.8 million have already received the two injections.
In the last 24 hours, Lombardy was again the region with the highest number of daily coronavirus cases (598) (total 826,762). The provinces with the highest number of positives on Tuesday were Milan -192-, Monza and Brianza -85- and Varese -80-, respectively. Another 31 people have died and 992 new medical discharges have also been signed.
