Italy adds another 55 deaths, the lowest number in three months

Italy registered the lowest number in three months, with just 55 deaths on Tuesday, a day before the government approved movements between regions, as the epidemiological situation in the most affected country has improved due to the pandemic.

As reported by Civil Defense, there have been 55 deaths and 319 new infections in the last 24 hours, for a total of 33,530 deaths and 233,515 cases. In the most affected region of Lombardy, there were 12 deaths and 187 infections.

On the other hand, the number of patients in the intensive care unit continues to decrease; on the last day there are 16 fewer, which corresponds to 408, while the number of patients in the hospital is 5,916, 183 less. In addition, another 1,737 patients were discharged, leaving 160,092 COVID-19 patients in the country.

The data, more or less the same as in recent days, has enabled the Italian government to approve movements between regions since Wednesday.
