Italy adds another 156 dead, while Conte warns that it’s not yet time for “parties and actions”.

Italy has registered another 156 deaths on the last day and has already recorded more than 228,000 infections with the new coronavirus from the Chinese city of Wuhan, although it has already left the worst of the pandemic, as its Prime Minister Giuseppe confirmed this Thursday, but Conte has warned that it’s not time for “parties” yet.

According to civil protection, 228,006 cases have been counted in the country so far, 642 more than on Wednesday, while the number of people who died after the 156 deaths on the last day is now 32,486, slightly less than on Tuesday.

COVID-19’s cured patients are now 134,560 after being released by 2,278 other people in the last 24 hours, a number consistent with those of previous days. There are currently 60,960 active cases in the country, 1,792 fewer than the previous day.

There was also a decrease in the number of ICU patients who are now 640, 36 fewer than on Wednesday, and the number of hospitalized patients – 9,269, 355 fewer. In contrast, 84 percent of active cases are in domestic isolation with mild or asymptomatic symptoms.
