Italy adds another 130 deaths, while those admitted to the intensive care unit fall below 600

In Italy, the number of patients admitted to the intensive care unit by COVID-19 fell below 600 this Friday, while another 130 deaths occurred on the last day, according to the latest data published by Protection. This is the lowest reading in more than two months.

So far, the country has registered a total of 228,658 infections, 652 more than on Thursday and in line with the past few days, while there have already been 32,616 pandemic deaths in the last 130 deaths. On the last day, nine regions had no deaths registered.

There are currently 59,322 positive cases, a decrease of 1,638 compared to the previous day. Of these, 8,957 are hospitalized (312 fewer) and another 595 are brought to the intensive care unit (45 fewer). The rest are under domestic isolation.

In terms of cured patient data, this figure rises to 136,720 after another 2,160 patients have been discharged in the past 24 hours, which is consistent with those of previous days.
