The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Wednesday denounced an attack from Lebanon that fired four projectiles, one of which was intercepted before reaching Israeli territory.
The IDF has confirmed that there were no injuries as only one of the missiles landed in an uninhabited area of Shfaram city while the other two fell straight into the sea.
The Israeli army responded to the attack by firing its artillery cannons at the area the missiles would have come from and they hit “multiple targets on Lebanese territory,” reports The Times of Israel.
This Wednesday’s attack is the third against Israel to come from Lebanon and the fourth if you take into account the attack that was launched from Syria last weekend. None of them cause harm, according to the IDF.
The information provided by the Israel Defense Forces was confirmed by a source from the Lebanese Army, who gave assurances that the four projectiles were fired from an area near the city of Tire in the south of the country, the local newspaper “L” reports. Oriente Le Jour ‘.
So far, no group has taken responsibility for the attacks from Lebanon, despite the fact that Israel has accused the Palestinian factions present in that country. For its part, Hezbollah has denied any involvement in what happened.
