Israel reports gunfire from Lebanon at one of its border checkpoints

August 26, 2020

The Israeli army confirmed at midnight last Tuesday that shots were recorded from the border with Lebanon after ordering five communities in Upper Galilee not to leave their homes, alleging it was initially considered a “security incident”.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported that one of their military posts on the Lebanese border with Menara in northern Israel has been bullet holes.

Earlier, the IDF announced on Twitter that a “security incident” had occurred in several communities in Upper Galilee, for which they had ordered residents to stay in their homes and accommodations and “any type of activity, including agricultural work”.
