Israel will be imposing curfews amid the rise in coronavirus infections in 40 areas, neighborhoods or cities, after a record of daily cases was recorded last week and more than 1,000 deaths from the pandemic were recorded on the last day.
The measure will be applied in so-called “red zones” and the Israeli government has decided to impose a curfew in place of the previously announced local restrictions.
The curfew will apply from this Monday if the affected residents cannot leave their homes between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., as announced by the Israeli executive and collected by the Israeli newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth”.
The schools will therefore remain closed and non-essential companies will cease their activities from 7 p.m. In addition, indoor and outdoor meetings are limited to 10 and 20 people respectively.
