Israel is ending restrictions on movement due to corona virus and will reopen shopping centers and markets on Thursday

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Monday the end of restrictions on movement in the country and has announced that shopping centers and markets will reopen on Thursday with certain restrictions.

Netanyahu has emphasized that as of Tuesday, Israelis will be able to reunite with their relatives, respecting social distance, and that meetings of up to 20 people will be allowed, a number that will increase to 50 in two weeks and to one hundred in late May .

It has also been stated that all education centers will reopen on June 14th, although kindergartens will do so from Sunday, while activities in gyms, libraries and certain water sports will be allowed to resume.

With this in mind, he stressed that sporting activities would gradually resume, adding that “measures that include the end of borders and restrictions have resulted in a low mortality rate that is being investigated by other countries”.
