The Israeli army denounced that the Hezbollah militiamen tried to enter Israeli territory across the border with Lebanon on Monday, despite assuring that the Israeli forces have prevented it.
IDF spokesman General Hiadi Zilberman has reported that a Hezbollah cell made up of three or four militiamen crossed the Blue Line on Monday and extends several meters into Israeli territory.
According to Zilberman, the Israeli military has taken note of and shot at the intruders who have returned to the Lebanese side without responding to the IDF’s fire.
However, Lebanese media have reported that Hezbollah even launched rockets at an IDF vehicle, which the Israeli spokesman denied. In any case, there are reports of an exchange of fire according to “The Jerusalem Post”.
