The Israeli army that Tuesday evening condemned the launch of two new projectiles from the Gaza Strip after a non-incident day preceded by consecutive nights of launches.
As reported by the security forces, both projectiles hit the Gaza Strip without reaching Israeli territory, despite the fact that they activated the missile warning sirens in the communities near Kissufim.
A few hours earlier, the army reported that it had shot down a “Hezbollah drone that crossed Lebanon to Israel today” and had also “located a Hezbollah drone” that it had shot down a few weeks ago.
This new version comes after a day of temporary lull in the attacks. However, over the weekend, authorities denounced at least 40 projectiles fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel as a possible response to clashes in Jerusalem between Palestinians and Israelis last week over the imposition of restrictions by the coronavirus during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
On Monday, the Israeli security cabinet approved extensive military actions that would be triggered if the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip continues into Israeli territory.
