Israel closes more than a hundred schools after confirming more than 300 infections since it reopened

June 7, 2020

The Israeli government announced on Sunday that it has already closed a total of 106 schools and kindergartens after 330 students and teachers have tested positive for coronavirus since the school year started three weeks ago.

This new closure affects more than 16,000 students and employees of the schools affected, which are currently under house quarantine, reports “The Times of Israel”.

Four other Israeli MPs also had to be quarantined in their homes because of contact with their partner on the Arab shared list Sami Abu Shehadeh, who confirmed their infection last Wednesday.
