Islamic State announces its new leader, Abu Ibrahim al Hashimi al Qurashi

Islamic State announced this Thursday its new leader, Abú Ibrahim al Hashimi al Qurashi, while confirming the death of the previous one, Abú Bakr al Baghdadi, in a message spread by the Amaq news agency, one of its propaganda channels .

The message, a voice recording of about eight minutes long, has served to announce the designation of Al Qurashi and that of the new Islamic State spokesman, Abu Hamza al Qurashi.

The terrorist organization has assured that both are descendants of the Prophet Muhammad, a condition that was also attributed to Al Baghdadi and that allowed him to declare himself a Caliph in 2014.
