Iran was denounced for sexual abuse, flogging and electric shocks during the 2019 protests

The NGO Amnesty International (AI) used the Iranian government in its latest report for “the terrible repression” of flogging, sexual abuse and electric shocks against the protesters arrested during the protests that rocked the Persian nation in November was denounced by 2019.

The document, titled “Trample on Humanity: Mass Arrests, Enforced Disappearances and Torture since November 2019 Protests in Iran”, condemns that “hundreds of people” have been subjected to “manifestly unfair” trials and sentenced to death on the basis of death sentences obtained in “confessions” through torture.

The report reads: “With the complicity of judges and prosecutors, the police, the secret services, security forces and prison officials” who “have committed a long list of scandalous human rights violations”.

Amnesty International based the text on the “harrowing reports” of nearly 7,000 people, including demonstrators, witnesses and other victims, who were arrested and repeatedly tortured for “confession”.
