DUBAI, Sep. 21 (Reuters / EP) –
Iran will go against any aggressor, even if it carries out a limited attack, and will seek to destroy it, warned this Saturday the commander of the Revolutionary Guard, General Hossein Salami, after Riyadh and Washington have accused Tehran of being behind the attacks against Saudi oil facilities.
“Be careful, a limited aggression will not remain limited. We will persecute any aggressor,” said the commander of the elite corps in statements issued by state television. “We are for punishment and will continue until the complete destruction of any aggressor,” he has prevented.
The American president, Donald Trump, approved on Friday the sending of US troops to reinforce the air and missile defenses of Saudi Arabia after the attack of September 14, claimed by the Yemeni Huthi rebels and with which Tehran claims to have nothing to watch.
For his part, the commander of the aerospace branch of the Revolutionary Guard, Amirali Hajizadeh, said that any attack on Iran will receive a “crushing response,” according to the state IRNA news agency.
