The balance of COVID-19 cases in Iran now tops 395,000 positives. As of this Thursday, the Ministry of Health reported 2,063 new positives, of which 1,041 correspond to patients who have already been admitted to hospitals in the Islamic Republic.
In particular, since the pandemic began, 395,488 people have tested positive for coronavirus, of whom 340,842 have overcome the disease. At least 22,798 victims of COVID-19 have died, 129 more than on Wednesday.
According to the official IRNA news agency, the Ministry of Health has also registered 3,728 patients admitted to intensive care units across the country in severe condition.
Iran is the twelfth country with the most coronavirus cases in the world and the country with the most positive in the Middle East. The rate of infection is constant, so authorities have recommended that the population continue to follow preventive measures, including using a mask or social distancing.
