The Iranian Ministry of Health reported this Sunday that 194 other Iranians have died from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the country in the past 24 hours, but have decreased from the 2,400 usual cases per day. by registering about 2,100 infections.

Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari has stated that the total number of deaths is 12,829 and the total number of newly registered cases increases 2,186 to 257,303.

The country has registered 1,499 new hospitalizations and 3,359 patients are in critical condition.

A total of 219,993 Iranians have recovered and have been released from the country’s hospitals, the spokeswoman said during an appearance by the official news agency IRNA.

By region, the spokesman confirmed the state of high alert in Juzestán, Azarbaiyán Este, Jorasán Razavi, Hormozgán and Jorasán Norte. The alarm was also raised in the capital Tehran, Alborz, Lorestán and Jorasán del Sur.
