The Iranian government announced on Monday that the United States would “regret” intercepting an Iranian passenger plane by one of its fighters. This incident happened last week, leaving several wounded.
“The Americans are trying all forms of banditry,” criticized Iranian State Department spokesman Abbas Musavi, who described the event as “a terrorist and hostile act,” according to the Iranian television station Press TV.
He said the ministry “will take all necessary measures, along with the Armed Forces General Staff, the judiciary and the civil aviation organization of Iran, so that the Americans will regret this episode.”
The Iranian government said last week that it was investigating the possibility of taking legal action against the United States after intercepting an Iranian airliner that had to land in an emergency in Syria.
