Iran says the Natanz incident had “no effect” on uranium enrichment

The Iranian government said on Tuesday that the recent incident at the Natantz nuclear power plant, for which the causes have not yet been clarified, had “no effect” on uranium enrichment work.

“The facilities in Natanz are as active as before,” said executive spokesman Ali Rabiei, who stressed that “Iran’s nuclear activities are peaceful and cannot be stopped despite the enemy’s hostility.” .

The Iranian authorities confirmed an incident in Natanz on July 1 and later stated that it was a fire, although they added that the causes of the fire would be revealed later.
