Iran rejects Israel’s warnings, saying: “Zionism has no place in the future of the world”

Iranian Foreign Minister Hosein Amirabdolahian has rejected the latest warnings from his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid about a possible attack in the country, stressing that “Zionism has no place in the future of the world”.

Amirabdolahian has claimed that the “disturbing words” by the “false Israeli regime” about “the great nation of Iran” are a dream that will not come true after Lapid said Israel could attack Iran without the support of the United States if necessary.

“We will defend the rights, interests and progress of the nation with power and wisdom,” said the foreign minister in a message posted on his account on the social network Twitter.

Lapid said last week that, in the face of mounting bilateral tensions and the crossroads of warnings and threats in recent months, Israel is ready to act “alone” against Iran and its nuclear program if it is “necessary”.

The next in command of the Israeli Air Force, Tomer Bar, stressed in mid-December that, amid tensions between the two countries, the Israeli armed forces are being trained to carry out successful bombing raids on Iranian nuclear facilities should he be ordered to execute them.

Likewise, Israel Defense Minister Benjamin Gantz announced on December 11, during a visit to the United States, that he had ordered the army to prepare for a possible military attack on Iran while talks are taking place in Vienna on a possible reactivation of the 2015 nuclear deal .

Iran has announced that it will withdraw its commitments on several points of the deal after the United States unilaterally left the pact in 2018, despite the Iranian authorities defending that these steps can be reversed if the United States lifted the sanctions and return the agreement.
