The Iranian authorities have registered more than 3,500 people infected with coronaviruses in the past 24 hours. This is the highest infection rate since the pandemic started. That is why President Hasan Rohani asked the population not to lose their vigilance. since the imposition of new restrictions is not excluded.

The Ministry of Health reported 3,547 new infections this Thursday, increasing the balance of positives to 164,270. According to the official IRNA news agency, the death toll has now risen to 8,071, 59 more than on Wednesday.

Rohani met with Minister of Health Said Namaki this Thursday to analyze the evolution of the pandemic and, despite the data, said the measures taken to contain the pandemic in recent months were “acceptable” as a success, the press TV network said.
