Iran has exceeded 375,000 official cases of COVID-19 after adding 1,642 additional infections in the past 24 hours. This emerges from data released by the Iranian Ministry of Health on Monday.
In particular, the Islamic Republic registered 375,212 positive results, of which 323,233 correspond to patients who have already recovered. At least 21,571 people have lost their lives, victims of COVID-19, 109 more than on Sunday, the official IRNA agency reports.
Iranian authorities have been urging citizens to follow recommendations to avoid infection over the past few weeks, and the country has now been under 2,000 infections for three days. The government estimates that more than 3,700 people remain in intensive care units.
