Iran has had around 230 coronavirus deaths in the past few hours. This is the highest number of daily deaths from COVID-19 in the Islamic Republic, the Ministry of Health reported on Tuesday.
The Minister’s spokeswoman, Sima Sadat Lari, has said that another 229 deaths and 2,625 infections have been counted in these 24 hours, bringing the balance to 14,634 deaths and 278,827 infected.
Sadat Lari has indicated that out of the total number of cases identified, approximately 1,977 people are hospitalized, including 3,589 serious, while 242,351 have recovered, according to the IRNA news agency.
Iran, the country most affected by the corona virus in the Middle East, has seen an increase in infections as a result of de-escalation, which is why the government has regained some restrictions.
