Shop until you get tired without having to wear a face mask. This week, Instagram and Google launched new e-commerce websites that encourage people to continue spending money online instead of venturing into physical stores.
Instagram (who recently turned photos and stories into posts for purchase) launched the Instagram store on the Browse tab on Thursday, so you can search for brands and developers directly in the app. Simply search for the colorful IG payment arrows (>>) to find available products. “Discover the latest trends, get personalized recommendations, and preview exclusive product launches in one place so you can browse and buy the products you love,” said an announcement on the company’s blog. The feature will now be launched in the United States before it will be rolled out worldwide “in the coming weeks”.
Customers can pay smoothly shortly Facebook Pay, from Instagram’s parent company. The system promises an additional level of security through the option to add a unique PIN or device biometry (Touch or face recognition). Later this year, make sure that a separate store tab appears in the Instagram navigation bar.
For its part, Google is launching the new Shoploop application, which was developed in its experimental Area 120 workshop. According to CEO Lax Poojary, the platform is “more interactive than simply scrolling through images, titles and descriptions on a traditional trading site electronically.”
All Shoploop videos are limited to 90 seconds. “And help you discover new products in a fun way,” said Poojary. “We want to help people experience the appearance of the products they buy in real life without having to go to a physical store. With Shoploop you can get product reviews from real people who know the products in a particular area. ” The app currently focuses on content creators, publishers and shopkeepers in the beauty industry, mainly makeup, skin care, hair and nails.
