India registers more than 50,000 coronavirus cases for the fourth day in a row, exceeding 1.75 million infections

The Indian government confirmed more than 54,000 cases of coronavirus on the last day on Sunday, the fourth day in succession that the 50,000 infections have been exceeded, which has exceeded the country’s 175,000 pandemic threshold since the beginning of the year.

The Department of Health has detailed on its website that 54,735 and 853 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours, for a total of 1,759,723 and 37,364 respectively.

It also indicated that there were currently 567,730 cases active in the country, 2,627 more than the previous day, and 1,145,629 individuals who passed COVID-19, including 51,255 on the last day.

The Asian country has seen a dramatic increase in cases over the past few weeks. 60 percent of all infections and 50 percent of deaths were confirmed in July.
