India registers another new maximum of daily infections with almost 10,000 cases when fully reopened

The Indian government has confirmed 9,971 daily coronavirus infections in a new historic upswing among those affected, which has exceeded 8,000 new cases every 24 hours for days at a time when the country is reopening its protocol before the devastating economic impact of the pandemic .

With this new daily credit, 246,628 people are already infected with the disease, which puts Spain in fifth place in the world rankings behind the United States, Brazil, Russia and the United Kingdom.

However, the current number of deaths in India (6,929) is still relatively low compared to the rest of the top infection countries, such as Italy, which is number seven on the list and has 33,846 deaths.

Therefore, the Indian government has decided to continue its reopening process, which will continue this Monday with the resumption of activities in shopping centers, restaurants, hotels and places of worship.
