India outperforms China in coronavirus cases after registering nearly 4,000 new ones in the past 24 hours

India confirmed 3,970 new cases of coronavirus this Saturday, bringing the global equilibrium in the country to 85,940, a figure that surpasses the total positive 82,941 registered in China.

The Indian Ministry of Health has also reported that 103 deaths from COVID-19 have been confirmed in the country this Friday, bringing the death rate in the Asian country to 2,752.

On the other hand, the Indian health authorities have also reported that 2,233 people have recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cured patients to 30,153. So far, 53,035 cases of coronavirus have been active in India.
