The new coronavirus pandemic, which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, has caused 89,706 new cases and 1,115 deaths in India in the past 24 hours, compared with 75,809 infections and 1,133 deaths the day before Indian Ministry of Health.
With the new data, the pandemic balance in Indian territory is 4,370,128 infected and 73,890 deaths. The recovery rate is 77.77 percent of patients with a total of 3,398,844 people cured. The death rate has been reduced to 1.69 percent of the total number of people infected.
According to the Indian Medical Research Council, health officials have performed 51.8 million coronavirus tests, including 1.15 million tests this Tuesday. There are currently 897,394 active coronavirus infections in India, representing 20.53 percent of all positive results.
India exceeded two million infections on August 7, hit three million on August 23 and four million on September 5.
