India has registered more than 76,000 new cases of infection daily in the past hours

India hit a third daily infection record this Saturday, after 76,472 cases and 1,021 deaths in the past few hours. This corresponds to a balance of more than 3.4 million cases, according to the latest data from the Indian Ministry of Health.

In total, 3,463,972 cases have been recorded nationwide since the coronavirus pandemic began, while in India 2.6 million patients have already managed to overcome the disease, which this Friday repeated a record of infections daily with more than 77,000 cases in 24 Hours.

The total number of deaths is 62,550, according to the ministry’s data collected by the NDTV network in a country that has recorded the highest daily number of infections in the world since Aug. 4.

Maharashtra, the worst-hit state, reported 14,857 new cases of coronavirus infection on Friday, bringing the number of cases in the state to 747,995.

The number of coronavirus cases has risen again in Delhi. On Friday, the state capital registered 1,808 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the number of cases in the city to over 169,000.
