India will exceed the 850,000 coronavirus cases across the country in the next few hours, in which the epidemic will continue to run practically unchecked after registering its fourth daily case record of nearly 29,000 this Sunday for the fourth time in a row.
The latest Ministry of Health bulletin lists 849,553 confirmed cases, including 28,637 others, and a total of 22,674 deaths after 551 deaths have been confirmed in the past few hours. On a positive note, a total of 534,620 people were released.
In comparison, the previous day’s balance resulted in 27,114 new positives and 519 deaths from COVID-19.
More than half of the confirmed cases in India, which is already the third country with more infections after the United States and Brazil, are concentrated in three areas: Maharashtra with 246,600 cases, Tamil Nadu (134,226) and Delhi (110,921).
