A medical plane with four people on board crashed in the Argentine province of Chubut in the south of the country on Tuesday evening, without being known whether there were any victims.
The device, a Learjet 35, was en route from Buenos Aires to Chubut and crashed when it tried to land at Esquel Airport in the latter province, causing a fire.
On board were the pilot and the co-pilot, as well as a doctor and a nurse, who accompanied a three-year-old boy who was transported due to heart disease, according to the local newspaper ‘El Chubut’.
The causes of the accident are currently unknown, but the first hypothesis suggests that this is due to the thick fog. According to the meteorological report, visibility was only a hundred meters at the time of the accident, says ‘La Nación’.
