IKEA unveiled the recipe for its famous Swedish meatballs and its cream sauce. The company posted on Twitter that they have created a recipe so you can recreate this delicious dish in the comfort of your home.

Also, the retail chain reported that some of its food markets in Sweden will reopen so that workers, customers and coworkers have access to essential items.

Ingredients for Swedish meatballs:

  • 500 g minced beef

  • 250 g minced pork

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 1 garlic clove (minced or minced)

  • 100 g bread crumbs

  • 1 egg

  • 5 tablespoons of milk (whole milk)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

preparation:

  1. Combine the beef with the pork with your fingers so that there are no lumps in the mixture.

  2. Add the chopped onion, garlic clove, breadcrumbs and egg to the mixture.

  3. Add the milk and season well with salt and pepper.

  4. Once you have the mixture ready, form small meat balls with your hands, place them on a plate, cover them and put them in the refrigerator for two hours (this will help them retain their shape while they cook).

  5. Put oil in a pan and heat it for a few minutes, then add the meatballs and proceed to brown them on all sides.

  6. Once browned place them in the oven at 180 ° C if conventional and 160 ° C in the ” fan ” function and let them cook for 30 minutes.

Ingredients for the cream sauce:

  • A pinch of oil.

  • 40 g of butter.

  • 40 g of plain flour.

  • 150 ml of vegetable broth.

  • 150 ml of meat juice.

  • 150 ml of double cream.

  • 2 teaspoons of soy sauce.

  • 1 teaspoon of mustard.

preparation:

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan.

  2. Put the flour in the bowl with the butter and stir it for 2 minutes.

  3. Add the vegetable and meat juices and continue beating.

  4. Add the double cream, soy and mustard.

  5. Beat on low heat until sauce thickens.
