6 hours and 43 minutes. This is the global average time users spend online each day. This is the result of a study that Hootsuite and We Are Social did for Digital 2020.
Whether through a computer, smartphone, or other device, the truth is that we are spending more and more time online. Colombians in particular have a relatively high average navigation rate (9 hours and 10 minutes). Mexicans, on the other hand, spend a third of their day online (8 hours and 21 minutes). Spain is below the global average at 5 hours and 41 minutes. The lowest position in the study was taken by Japan with 4 hours and 22 minutes of navigation per day.
This data shows that digital, mobile and social media have become an essential part of everyday life for people around the world. On a global average, we spend more than a quarter of our day surfing the Internet and it is estimated that nearly 60% of the world’s population is already online.
