HONG KONG, Nov. 13 (Reuters / EP) –
The Hong Kong Office of Education has announced that all schools in Hong Kong will suspend their classes this Thursday due to safety and transportation reasons.
The Office has made the announcement through a statement in which it has also urged protesters to end all acts of violence.
Hong Kong is preparing for more clashes on Wednesday while anti-government protesters paralyze parts of the city for the third day, which has led to the closure of many companies following the escalation of violence.
The protests in Hong Kong began last June against a controversial law of extradition to mainland China. Although the Government has renounced it, the demonstrations have continued with greater demands, including universal suffrage.
