Honduras exceeds 30,000 cases of coronavirus after adding nearly a thousand in a single day

According to the updated National Risk Management System (SINAGER) balance, Honduras has exceeded 30,000 coronavirus cases in the past few hours after nearly a thousand cases occurred in a single day.

SINAGER has stated that there have been a further 930 cases and 18 deaths in the last 24 hours, so the calculation is now 30,036 and 825, according to the Honduran newspaper ‘El Heraldo’.

Of the total number of people infected, 1,380 remain in the hospital, 926 are stable and 400 are serious, while 3,379 others have managed to overcome COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

Honduras imposed restrictive measures such as curfews and quarantines when the pandemic started, but the Central American nation has already started de-escalating to mitigate the economic impact of the pandemic.
