November 4, 2020

In an interview with Cointelegraph, the CTO of Hedera Hashgraph, Leemon Baird said that while interest in blockchain had increased significantly in 2020, he assumed that much more important things would happen in 2021.

Baird who has one PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, explained that “The whole world is viewing this industry as blockchain or DLT and is saying, ‘Wow, there is really something there.’ Continuously: “This year the interest has grown rapidly around the world. And I think next year we will increase even more.”

Regarding his bullish forecast for 2021, Baird said: “I’m not like people from years ago and say, ‘Well, there wasn’t much this year, but I bet the next one will be better'”, and I add:

“I think we are already seeing the beginning of this year that people are seriously considering this as the reality, and it has been a long time since they marginally consider it. But now people are starting to really get into it like you said and people are starting to invest in it. I mean, big, big organizations, people are starting to use it in their businesses. “
