For the 2020 graduates There are no corridors to walk through to get your diploma, no tearful hugs from classmates, no champagne toasts with the family. The Covid 19 pandemic has forced this year’s graduates to be creative. And nothing shows pomp and circumstance like a visit to the cosmos: SpaceX invites students from all over the world to submit their photo “to fly on America’s first human space flight in almost a decade”.

Anyone who has (or is expected to) acquire their diploma this year, whether you’ve completed kindergarten or graduation, can upload a selfie to SpaceX’s earth mosaic to print out and take aboard the upcoming crew Mission to fly dragon to the International Space Station.

Next year, three space tourists, courtesy of SpaceX and Axiom Space, will take a truly extraordinary trip to the International Space Station. Along with NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley, vacationers who will write history will spend at least eight days on board the ISS before returning to Earth.

You have until Wednesday May 20th to “fly” with Hurley and Behnken in Crew Dragon and “remember your accomplishments,” according to the SpaceX website. Everyone else can play around with the digital artwork – zoom in and out, or pan from side to side to see the many faces submitted.
