Ankara ensures that it acts vigorously in the event of an attack on its interests

The armed forces commanded by General Jalifa Haftar, the strong man in Eastern Libya, have announced an “air campaign” against Turkish targets in the country, as Ankara supports the internationally recognized Libyan government that they want to drive out of Tripoli.
Haftar launched an offensive to take over Tripoli in April 2019, with the support of Russia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, at the head of the Libyan National Army (ELN). However, there have been several setbacks in recent weeks, including the loss of a large military base near the capital this week after Ankara sealed an agreement to support the Libyan government.
“You will see the largest air campaign in Libyan history in the coming hours,” promised the Haftar Air Force chief, Saqr al Jarushi, in a statement.
“All Turkish positions and interests in all cities are legitimate targets for our fighter jets and we ask the civilian population to stay away from them,” added Bloomberg, who confirmed this by SMS with Al Jarushi.
