GUN-TOTING robbers broke into a house and forced a wealthy cyber-currency trader to transfer his Bitcoin fortune to them, in what is thought to be the UK’s first cryptocurrency robbery.
The value of the onlinecurrency has soared in recent months and is sitting at £8,000 per coin.

Thugs wielding guns and wearing balaclavas reportedly burst into the home in an Oxfordshire village and tied up the man’s wife.
The Daily Mail reports they put the couple’s baby outside in a pram and then forced the man to give them his onlinemoney.
The online trader lives in Moulsford, where a few episodes of Midsomer Murders have been filmed.
Schoolchildren were reportedly locked inside as a police helicopter looked for the suspects and quizzed local residents.

A mum on the school run told the Mail on Sunday: “I saw four young men in black tracksuits with the hoods pulled up, crossing the road to the property where it took place.’
She added: ‘They were aged 18 to 25, dark-skinned and super-fit. They jumped over the fence on the other side of the road. I didn’t see any gun, but that’s what people locally are saying – and that the men wore balaclavas which I didn’t see either, just the hoodies pulled up.”
A Thames Valley Police spokesman confirmed to the newspaper an “aggravated burglary” took place.
No arrests have been made and anyone with any information relating to the incident should call Thames Valley Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Bitcoin is a virtual currency that was created in 2009 by an unknown computer whizz using the alias Satoshi Nakamoto – it is hard to trace.
