Grupo Modelo announced the launch of the Tiendita Cerca initiative, a digital platform that seeks to support the local economy and allow Mexicans access to a directory of 15,000 grocery stores and more than 3,000 Modeloramas nationwide.
With this initiative Grupo Modelo connects shopkeepers with consumers to supply themselves without leaving home, during and after the contingency derived from COVID- 19. Tiendita Cerca seeks to give users of the platform the option of supplying their pantries with basic products from the comfort of your home and through a phone call, respecting the measures implemented in the National Sana Distancia Day.
“At Grupo Modelo we are committed to the well-being of the communities where we operate and deeply grateful to the grocers in Mexico for their extraordinary work. Through technology, we created a platform that communicates in a simple, fast and reliable way, those convenience stores with the largest number of consumers possible; in this way, we keep the local economy active and seek a healthy distance between Mexicans, ”said Cassiano De Stefano, president of Grupo Modelo in a statement.
Since Tuesday, April 14, interested shopkeepers can register with their Grupo Modelo customer number at www.tienditacerca.com to start receiving orders for any of their products.
Consumers must select a grocery store or Modelorama on the portal and order from the registered phone number.
