Germany reports more than 7,500 cases and 300 deaths from coronavirus on the last day

The German authorities reported more than 7,500 cases and 300 deaths from coronavirus on the last day this Tuesday after exceeding 3.4 million infections and 83,000 deaths, according to the Robert Koch Institute.

The agency, the government agency responsible for controlling infectious diseases, said on its website that there have been 7,534 cases and 315 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 3,433,516 and 83,591, respectively.

The cumulative incidence rate over the last seven days is thus 141.4 cases per 100,000 population, with about 208,400 active cases, about 13,600 fewer than the day before.

Finally, the Robert Koch Institute has estimated the total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus, to be around 3,061,500, including around 20,800 in the last 24 hours.
