In the past 24 hours, Germany has registered 353 infections and 62 deaths from coronavirus, compared with 362 positive and 47 deaths the previous day, which compensates for more than 179,000 infected and more than 8,400 deaths due to the pandemic. was created in the Chinese city of Wuhan, according to the Robert Koch Institute, the German government agency responsible for monitoring infectious diseases.

By federal state, Bavaria remains the most affected with 46,729 infections and 2,438 deaths, followed by North Rhine-Westphalia (37,698 positive and 1,582 deaths) and Baden-Württemberg (34,129 infections and 1,724 deaths). The capital Berlin registered 6,703 cases and 195 deaths.

The German government and the country’s 16 states agreed on Tuesday that human contact restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic will be extended until June 29.

However, states can decide to relax some restrictions starting June 6, including limiting sessions to a maximum of ten people or a maximum of two people if they are held in private homes.
