The pandemic of the new corona virus from the Chinese city of Wuhan has left 357 cases and 22 deaths in Germany in the last 24 hours, which, according to published data, corresponds to almost 170,000 infected and more than 7,400 deaths. from the Robert Koch Institute, the federal agency responsible for monitoring infectious diseases.
The daily balance of 22 deaths is the lowest number of coronavirus deaths that have been recorded in Germany since March and is below the 26 deaths recorded on Sunday. The 357 infections registered in the last 24 hours are also lower than the 667 positive infections recorded the previous day. With the new data, the balance is 169,575 infected and 7,417 deaths from corona virus.
Of the federal states, Bavaria remains the most affected with 44,368 infected and 2,155 deaths, followed by North Rhine-Westphalia (35,132 positive and 1,437 deaths) and Baden-Württemberg (33,190 infections and 1,545 deaths). The capital Berlin registered 6,272 cases and 165 deaths.
PROTESTS AGAINST RESTRICTIONS
Around 3,000 people returned to Munich’s streets on Saturday, many of them without maintaining a safe distance, in order to protest against the restrictions imposed in Germany and in the Bavaria region in order to avoid contagion with the corona virus.
