German Labor Minister Hubertus Heil said on Sunday that his portfolio was working on laws that would allow employees to continue working from home as soon as the current health and economic crisis caused by the new coronavirus pandemic was over. .
“Anyone who wants and whose workplace allows it should be able to work from home, even if the new coronavirus pandemic is over,” said Heil in an interview with the German newspaper Bild.
According to the federal government itself, 25 percent of Germans were able to continue working from home during the pandemic, which is more than twice as much as before the crisis.
Heil explained that the plan he is developing will allow workers to move the office entirely to where they live as long as the company they work for is adapted.
