Germany will send 330,000 coronavirus diagnostic tests and 600,000 protective suits for health professionals to India to help the country fight the coronavirus.
This was announced by German Development Minister Gerd Müller in an interview with the Funke media group, in which he stated that they are granting short-term loans of 460 million euros for food and for people who have lost their jobs in India because of the pandemic.
“This is one of the greatest support measures (for the coronavirus) in the world,” said Müller, given the recovery in cases from which the country has recently suffered.
India recorded 86,000 new cases and more than a thousand deaths on Friday. A new infection record was thus set in a single day, in which more than four million people are infected with more than 69,000 deaths.
