Germany has registered more than 1,200 cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, again exceeding the threshold of 1,000 daily infections, which, according to Thursday, compensates for more than 166,000 infected and more than 7,100 deaths, the Robert Koch Institute, the federal government responsible for monitoring communicable diseases.
According to the latest balance, 166,091 people were infected after the coronavirus pandemic and a total of 7,119 people died in Germany. The increase in daily cases is 1,284, a number that exceeds the 947 positive values of the previous day and is almost twice as high as the 685 infections two days ago.
The daily increase in deaths is reduced to 123 compared to 165 deaths in the previous daily balance. Bavaria is the most affected state with 43,658 infected and 2,050 deaths, followed by North Rhine-Westphalia (34,249 positive and 1,372 dead) and Baden-Württemberg (32,762 contagious and 1,497 deceased). The capital Berlin registered 6,149 cases and 162 deaths.
According to the German Ministry of Health, to which the data protection authority had access, the government has purchased around 121 million respiratory masks that have been supplied to the federal states and medical associations.
